"I was born in California, but as a child I was lucky enough to visit such faraway places as Singapore, Bangkok, London, Dubai, Scotland, Texas, New York City, and Mexico... Like a sponge I soaked it all up. The beautiful aqua silks in Hong Kong, the bright red double decker buses in London, the purple and gold sunsets over the sands in Dubai were all burned into my memory. They changed my visual language forever.
A native of Los Angeles, I create colorful acrylic paintings on wood and canvas that blend the pop culture and Chicano heart of LA with the Mexican folk art of my Huichol Indian artisan ancestors. A self-taught artist and illustrator with collectors around the world, I create works inspired by pop culture and influenced by my nomadic childhood."
